Celery Juicing – Is It Worth It?

… The green juice that EVERYONE is talking about.

I’m not going to make you read any further, the answer is YES.

But with any rising fad, it’s important to A) know why you’re doing what you’re doing and B) read an honest testimony… so please, continue on.

If you follow my blog, you’ve maybe picked up on the struggle I’ve had with my skin. I’ve had acne for years… In fact, my last known memory of having clear skin was 2014 after 3 consecutive years of an intense antibiotic. Before that, my clearest skin memory was 2009.

My acne is sort of unique. I get a combination of hormonal jaw-line/chin type pimples in addition to the even more annoying textured bumps all. over. my. body.

Doctors roll their eyes at me. Dermatologist try to prescribe me. The Medical Medium saved me. Celery juice will clear up my skin? Why the hell not try it. What’s the worst that could happen, right? It’s just celery… It’s not like you’re asking me to try out some newly studied drug with a plethora of side effects.

I wrote a blog post when I first starting on my celery juice journey four months ago. You can find it HERE >> it has everything you need to know about how to actually juice celery.

Where The Hell Did Celery Juice
Come From?

Let’s be honest, celery juice was not a thing.

Today? You can’t find organic celery to save your life. Even my local juicer has a hard time getting their hands on it.

WHY?

Anthony Williams, more commonly known as the Medical Medium, introduced celery juicing to the world years ago. Paired with his other recommendations for healing (and on it’s own), celery juice has made quite a name for itself in miraculously healing various illnesses.

The Science Behind It

Celery juice is restorative and healing to the gut; it’s unique mineral salts restore the lining of the gut while at the same time acting as a toxin to unproductive bacteria. Unproductive bacteria wreck havoc on the gut – which we now realize, effects everything about our life. In his book, Liver Rescue, he even says that celery is practically an antibiotic and antiviral to which detrimental bacteria cannot become resistant or immune to. That’s HUGE considering America is growing resistant and immune to many pharmaceuticals.

In short, not only does celery put a halt to increasing harmful bacteria growth but it also starves the current problem.

These mineral salts found in celery juice enhances your body’s entire immune system. For centuries, specific salts have been used for wounds and various ailments – so it comes as no surprise that these mineral salts are remarkably healing.

Another interesting tid bit, when you purchase celery at a farm or at the store or ask for it from your juicer (it should always be organic, by the way) you’re getting celery that was sourced from a variety of places. Why is that a good thing? Because the earth’s soil is different from farm to farm and from season to season; providing our bodies with an arsenal of diverse mineral salts infused from the earth into the celery. Making our immune system one salty defender against anything that tries to fight it.

** This information is found on page 168-169 of his book, Liver Rescue, if you’re interested in reading more.

Why Isn’t Your Doctor Talking About This

The Medical Medium notes in his book that celery juice is “uncharted territory” in the medical community. Again… WHY.

The only real reason that makes sense is pharmaceuticals. The drug industry is a $360 billion dollar market (and growing)… and you expect celery juice to take center stage over that impressive number? Probably not.

There is absolutely a time and place for pharmaceuticals, but it isn’t the end-all-be-all. In some cases, like mine, pharmaceuticals can make matters much worse.

What Can Celery Do For You

This is where it gets good. To make it easy to read and easy to reference again later, I’m just going to run through a list of celery fun facts;

  • “Taken on it’s own, with no fillers or add-ins, on an empty stomach, it strengthens your digestion of everything you eat for the rest of the day.” – Medical Medium, Liver Rescue, page 346
  • Helps to balance BLOOD PRESSURE & BLOOD SUGAR
  • Provides your body with essential vitamins, minerals and electrolytes.
  • It restores your digestive enzymes.
  • Celery juice provides hydration to your body on a deep cellular level.
  • Brings down the heat level of your liver – which can be toxic at a high level.
  • Rids your body of BLOAT.
  • Eradicates the STREP BACTERIA – which according the MM, is the cause of all acne.
  • A powerful weapon for AUTO IMMUNE DISEASE.
  • Fights acid reflux.
  • Flushes toxins out of the liver; dead cells, old pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • Kills EPSTEIN-BARR & SHINGES VIRUS
  • Reduces INFLAMMATION
  • Supports WEIGHT LOSS
  • Helps to prevent UTI’s
  • Protects against ULCERS and heals current ones.
  • Provides overall protection to your body.
  • and so. much. more.

My Testimony

Like I mentioned earlier, I’ve struggled with acne for years. I’ve tried everything – topicals, medication, treatments, special diets… you name it, I’ve tried it.

To be honest, when I decided to try celery juice I was skeptical. I had definitely lost hope with my skin and just accepted that I was going to deal with this problem for the rest of my life. But obviously was willing to give one more thing a try.

After four months of celery juicing (almost) every morning, my skin is not perfect, but it’s the clearest it has been in YEARS. It has restored my hope that I can have clear skin and that I’m not broken or unknowingly doing something that is causing my acne.

I’ve learned from The Medical Medium that the cause of (all) acne is the strep bacteria… Like strep throat. Which I had almost every year as a child. I also grew up in a household that strongly supported antibiotics. I was given a Z-Pack for every ailment under the sun. It makes sense that my poor liver is bogged down with old pharmaceuticals. With that, it has been unable to perform at its highest level doing its detoxing thing. Celery juice has majorly improved this; giving me and my liver hope.

I also think it’s kind of not a coincidence that I had food poisoning for the first time in my life right before this New Year. It literally purged my body of everything that it was holding onto… not that this is related to celery, but I feel in my bones that this is symbolic to my healing.

I’m embarrassed to show these pictures. I’ve had over two thousand people read my original celery juice post this year alone. People want healing and they don’t want it from the drug companies. They want to believe that this works.. and it does. So with that, I’m willing to share my very vulnerable photos of my skin in hopes that it will give someone else hope. Something I very much so lost on this long journey.

After (4 months) of Celery Juice:

I feel good. My skin is looking better. But more importantly, I feel like I’ve addressed the root cause of my acne. Skin conditions are an external picture of an internal happening. So no more band-aids, no more guessing. Healing is real and it’s for everyone.

I highly recommend trying this healing tonic. Keeping in mind that it is not a meal, it has hardly any calories, so please drink it 20 minutes before breakfast. Buy organic. Read my earlier post on how to juice. It’s easy, you can even use your blender.

If celery juice has worked for you, drop a comment or email me. I’d love to hear your story.

With love & clearing skin,
Espresso&Fit

  1. I started drinking celery juice every morning a month ago. I have had cystic acne since highschool, this is the first time in my life my skin is so clear. The true test was getting my period this week. I didn’t have nearly as many breakouts as I have in the past. Before when I touched my face it was painful, I could feel all the pimples underneath my skin that were going to eventually come out. Now, I don’t feel anything. I am so happy that I started doing this. I don’t think I will ever stop!

  2. hwy I read your blog and started juicing! It’s been a week since I started and I’m breaking out more! did that happen with you too? Should I just continue?

    1. It did happen to me! Your body is detoxing and getting rid of everything through the skin. I actually didn’t start to see results for about 4 months, but everyone’s progress is different! Stick with it 🙂
